Sue Wallis: One Life, One Love – Kill and Eat Horses

If you are observant you may be blessed with seeing many spectacular sights as we slowly float and paddle down the river that we refer to as life.  Of course, there are a multitude of stunning vistas that grace the shore line if we only take the time to focus and absorb the beauty and traveling with us, floating on the life giving waters of the river, are many souls and personalities that shine and amuse with their wonder and grace.  But every now and then the glistening waters become polluted with the evil sewage of human greed and blood lust.  Sometimes that evil is so intense and focused that it manifests itself into human excrement that fouls the air we breathe and sticks to the water line of our life’s vessel as we paddle to get beyond it and into the clear water downstream.  And as we paddle we often feel a bump or a “doink” as we run over the floating sewage and strike a large floating patch of crap and today we have been bumped and “doinked” a couple of times by the floating turd many of us know as “Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis.

If you know not of whom I speak then consider yourself lucky and simply hunker down to paddle beyond this bloated sewage slick of decaying human bile, but if you do and you love your family (including your companion animals), your community, your church, your country and your God then this product of a satanic colon leaves you with not only a foul stench in your nostrils and a bad taste in your mouth but with an ever present and unanswerable question screaming in your soul; “Why?”

Why would someone attempt to promote and champion a failed and proven unpopular cause centered on butchering and eating horses?

Why would an individual center their entire life on killing, blood, death and consuming companion animals?

Why would an elected public official misuse their office simply for the purpose of butchering and eating horses?

Why would someone who has been sued, complaints filed against and continually coming under legal and ethical scrutiny continue to publicly spout known mistruths and misrepresentations, why?

Why when presented with clear and concise facts would an individual chose to harp on rumor, myth, lies and innuendo?

The list goes on and on but to learned minds and astute observers the answer is almost as simple as the mind of the individual in question; you can distill it down into just one, two syllable word…MONEY!

There is something very big, ugly and dark behind Sue Wallis (pun intended) and that driving force has found its own sacrificial lamb and intends to ride this mindless mount until the last breath is spent from her soulless lungs.  Call them who you want, we all know their names and who they are but like the very devil himself, to call them out by name gives them power and we have no need to go there.

Driven by greed and the lust for attention (even negative) Sue Wallis will carry the bloody banner of multiple mega-masters as they sit back and watch their mindless robot attempt to disrupt and dilute the efforts of main stream Americans.  It is a wonderful marriage, the raving lunatic at large, single handedly delivering her almost evangelical message of bathing in the blood of the horse while those that fund and drive her sit back in their plush chairs, smoke fine cigars and watch her exploits on wide screen, HD monitors…ahhhh, life is sweet.

Wyoming Representative “Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis is a sad loser on more levels than most people could fathom.  Without a moral compass she is lost in a sea of deception, corruption, collusion and ultimately, failure.  Failure for not only her immoral and unjust cause but a failure in her life because, quite simply, she does not have one.  Hell bent on reaching for the science fiction fantasy that owning a horse killing slaughter plant will make her millions she will, one day, look back and realize that she has done nothing with her life, left no legacy for her children and all that she will have left will be the ire of the world and the chuckles of those powers that rode her hard and put her away wet.

Why?  Simple, mindless, all consuming greed…that is why Sue Wallis does what she does and is what she is; a testament to all that we would never want to be and an example of a misguided social experiment that has gone very, very wrong.

May God have mercy on her extremely misguided soul.

Horse Eating Wyoming Politician Gets Facts All Wrong, AGAIN!

Wallis misinformation could prove deadly

CHICAGO, (EWA) – I would like to personally thank Rep. Sue Wallis (WY) on behalf of equine advocates for the recent emails sent to her supporters [published on this website], her facebook page outbursts, but more importantly, for the below comments she posted on a Facebook page. She has provided us with documentation for Congressional members that leaves no doubt that those involved in the horse slaughter business have never, and have no intention, of ever following food safety laws or acknowledging the facts surrounding horse slaughter. One can only imagine that if she has such little regard for food safety, how she will twist and spin animal welfare laws in her proposed “regulated” horse slaughter plant.

Representative Sue Wallis wrote: “You are flat wrong. Bute is completely out of the system in far less than 30 days. Very thorough blood tests done by independent third party laboratories verify down to parts per trillion–if it cannot be detected, than obviously it does not exist. Canadian and EU regulations now require any horses that do not have a veterinarian’s certification of all drug administrations for at least six months be held for that time period. They can lose their license to practice if they falsify records. So, for all of those reasons, there is no chance that any horse with even a detectable amount of bute in their system would ever wind up in the food chain.”

Phenylbutazone is BANNED in all food producing animals [except in certain dairy cows under 20 months of age] by the FDA and EU. Banned is banned. One dose and the animal can never enter the food chain. It doesn’t matter what Wallis thinks, what you think or what I think. It is the medical professionals at the FDA and EU that establish the tolerances, withdrawal periods and medications that are forever prohibited. It is our responsibility to follow those regulations to ensure food safety.

The 6 month quarantine is a phase-in for the U.S. to a passport system that will be required within two years [three years from Oct ’09 when the program was implemented]. All countries, except the U.S., follow the established regulations. Wallis is making up medical information to justify sending ineligible horses to slaughter. She has been told over and over again that blood testing is not the proper test to detect bute residues. Blood can be drawn within a certain time period, such as within 24 hours of a race, to determine bute levels. When the time interval to detect bute has passed, the only way to determine if a horse was given bute is by determining bute residue levels. The USDA’s standard method to determine bute residue levels is by taking a sample of kidney and performing a rather complicated procedure that is highly sensitive and specific.

The horses are not accompanied by vet certified paperwork. They are accompanied by signed blank forms that the kill buyers are completing. We have dozens of copies of them. The US has no system to track drugs [from birth] in horses so how could anyone sign a report stating the horse is drug free, let alone the thousands of horses that are stolen and sent to slaughter.

Wallis’ supporters will never see the EU report [report Ref. Ares(2011)398056] that has documented the drug residues in U.S. horses and the falsified paperwork that accompanied the horses. Since the report refutes everything she has been telling her supporters and Congress, she simply just ignores it.

I’ll bet that the big Agriculture organizations that hide behind her are even cringing with her latest outburst on drugs in U.S. horses.

Unedited BLM News Release and Propaganda Communication

“Let the Death and Destruction Begin”

More terror for the horses to be relased by the Obaman Administration, soon.

The Bureau of Land Management announced today its tentative summer schedule for gathering wild horses and burros from overpopulated herds on Western public rangelands.  The gathers are needed to bring herd sizes into balance with other rangeland resources and uses, as required by Federal law and approved land-use plans.

“With the new gather season starting in July, we must carry out these gathers in a fully transparent manner,” said BLM Director Bob Abbey.  “That includes taking full ownership of what we do and by sharing both the positive and negative news with our various publics, whatever criticism may come our way.”

Abbey added, “Our work on a forthcoming new strategy for managing wild horses and burros is part of our commitment to a ‘new normal’ of doing business.  Among other things, the strategy calls for greater reliance on population-suppression techniques, including increased application of the fertility-control vaccine known as PZP.”

The goal will be to treat more than 1,200 mares per year (over the current level of about 900 in FY 2011) through implementation of “catch, treat, and release” gathers.  These gathers will be principally aimed at applying the fertility-control vaccine porcine zona pellucida (PZP) to mares.  In some herds, the BLM will adjust sex ratios in favor of males to reduce the number of on-the-range pregnancies or potentially manage non-reproducing herds (such as geldings) in some Herd Management Areas.

The public and media are invited to observe the gathers.  Observation points will be determined by the BLM in a manner that recognizes the need for good viewing sites, along with the need to ensure viewer and animal safety.

Failed Politician Publicly Pukes Putrid Profanity

Sue Wallis ~ photo courtesy of Sue Wallis' Facebook Page

HOUSTON, (Horseback) – The late President Harry Truman was an expert on politics, heat, and kitchens. He knew that the combination of all three could be just too much for some in elective office to bear. Such seems to be the case with Wyoming Rep. Sue Wallis, the leader of an often fumbling effort to re-open horse slaughterhouses in the United States.

One of those fumbles came late this week when Congress didn’t allow an effort to slip in legislation that would have allowed the U.S. Department of Agriculture to fund federal meat inspectors in the abattoirs. Congress stopped funding the inspectors several years ago bringing slaughter to an end in this country. The latest attempt stumbled when an amendment was added in committee to the federal agriculture budget bill by Rep. Jim Moran (D) Virginia, barring funding for the inspectors. A second effort failed on the floor of the house when it was shut down by Indiana’s Rep. Dan Burton (R) after a bumbling attempt by Wyoming Rep Cynthia Lummis (R) to insert a provision that would have allow slaughterhouse owners to pay for their own inspectors in a kind of fox guarding the hen house end around. Lummis hadn’t done her homework and embarrassed herself because a federal court had ruled such funding illegal years ago in violation of the Federal Meat Inspection Act.

Angry retorts to Wallis are no stranger to Horseback Online. Almost daily she is called down for mistake after mistake, untruth piled upon untruth. Her critics are not kind.

Sue Wallis, like many politicians, has a Facebook page. Late Friday, in an emotional and angry post, Wallis façade cracked. “Okay everybody, I just banned all of those sonsa bitches off my political page,” she wrote angrily. “Enough is enough. It is my page and we don’t have to let them dump their BS in our laps. Thank you one and all for your support! — Sue Wallis”

To paraphrase old Harry, if it gets a little too warm in the pot, you might want to get off the stove.

“Slaughterhouse” Sue’s Public Meltdown Continues

The Scourge of Wyoming, Sue Wallis

Running in fear of the newly introduced “American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act of 2011” the cruel and misguided Wyoming state Rep. Sue Wallis has unleashed a weekend full of internet misinformation and out-and-out lies.  As she sees the bloody yet limited profits of predatory horse slaughter ooze between her twisted, pudgy fingers she has flailed out with a continuous stream of twisted propaganda that has run head-on into an educated brickwall…that brickwall being one, John Holland, president of the Equine Welfare Alliance

Holland publicly responded to one of her multiple emails, that were published on Horseback Magazine and inserted below, with clear qualified facts.  With an eloquent pen John has proven that Sue Wallis not ony has shot herself in the foot, again, but she has reloaded the gun and continued to fire.  Please enjoy John Holland’s response, below, and be sure to visit Horseback Magazine by clicking (HERE).But before I leave you to enjoy the rebuttal, I have just one lingering question that is still nagging at me; why is it that a New York politician named Weiner showed his namesake and is asked to quit while a Wyoming state political worm shows her  rearend and she is still in office.  Both of the above offences conjure up ugly images but the later does it on a daily basis…what gives?’ ~ R.T.

“We specifically addressed the information in the EU Technical Document below because it was being cited as “proof” that horse meat is inherently unsafe, when in fact the report shows nothing of the sort. It shows that horse meat has zero incidence of prohibited drugs, and very low incidence of samples of higher than acceptable levels of non-prohibited drugs. Other species such as sheep and goats processed in Europe showed twice as many non-compliant samples as horse meat. Here are links and documents regarding the incidence of drug residues in meat prepared by the governments of both Canada and Mexico, as well as links to U.S. government information in regards to preventing drug residues in meat generally, but which, of course has not included horse meat since 2007

Comment by John Holland:

In reading the links cited by Ms. Wallis, I must come to one of the following conclusions; either she does not read the links she provides, or she thinks we will not read them, or she does not understand what she reads. It is of course possible that all three are true.

Her first link is to a two page article by an extension agent claiming there has been no known negative health effect from drug residues in US meat. This may or may not be true, but it has absolutely nothing to do whatever with American horse meat. Neither the word “equine” nor “horse” appear in the article and the meat it describes is that consumed in the US. It truly looks more like a puff piece for the promotion of US meat products than any kind of study.

Her second link is a resource page for producers concerning forbidden drugs and the withdrawal periods for permitted drugs. Interestingly, it lists two of the more popular horse medications (phenylbutazone and clenbuterol) on the forbidden page. It contains no statistics or information that would confirm Sue’s point on the safety of US horse meat.

The third link is to a dead site titled “Residue control in Canada: Report on the surveillance of antibiotic and hormone residues in meat”. It has a banner at the top saying it is no longer being updated, and it is about antibiotics and growth hormones used to increase production in meat animals, only two of the many dangerous types of drugs. Moreover the linked page has no mention of horse meat and there are not any statistics.

The fourth link is a report on an EU mission to Mexico in 2008. The report contains references to significant drug residues found in horse meat! It goes on to criticize the entire Mexican system, and talks about the fact that new protocols are being implemented. In other words, the report disproves Sue’s claims and is not the most recent one.

The correct report is Ref. Ares(2011)398056 – 11/04/2011 (April 11, 2011). It covers a mission that took place between 22 November and 3 December of 2010. This is the report that most advocates have been pointing to. Unlike the report Sue cited above, this report is entirely about horse meat. The report discusses the voluntary certification system that Mexico is now using to document drug histories.

This system is similar to the Canadian EID document except microchips are placed in the horses before they cross the border (nobody really understands what purpose they serve at that point, since the horse’s history is completely unknown).

Contrary to Sue’s allegations, the new report found 19 sampled horses in 2008 and 9 in 2009 were positive for prohibited substances. It does not say how many samples were taken. All of the horses were accompanied by sworn statements that they had not been given prohibited substances.

One has to wonder how Ms. Wallis can scream what liars “animal rights activists” are and then provide links showing either nothing or that she is the one who is the liar.
