"Did you know that the BLM can't add 1 + 1?" "Shhhh, that's classified!"
Last week the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) fell right off from the radar screen. Besides conducting their murderous and heinous crimes on private property, so that the press and taxpaying public cannot observe, they turned off virtually every form of electronic communication. It all fit the pattern of cloak and dagger, dark and dirty acts needing to be concealed and of course; they are not only above the law but well beyond being burdened with any fair and honest public opinion. So it came as no surprise to me that their paranoia continued to grow.
Then a mass email from one Debbie Collins, an alleged member of the “BLM WH&B Team”, entered the fray and Ms. Collins used the email address of wildhorse@blm.gov.
The content of Ms. Collins’ email was so outlandish and inaccurate, as per the BLM’s own numbers, that it demanded a response so I gave in and actually ran out of steam after answering just two of her erroneous and incorrect statements. So I sent the following email to the above address:

I just wrote the whole thing off as a wasted exercise but at least I spoke my piece, truthfully, and felt better for it; but low and behold look what showed up in my inbox the next day, I almost could not contain my excitement.

(I love the way they say things like “write to BLM” just like it is a person or some sort of entity versus an organization, kinda scary, huh?)
Hot diggidy dog there was actually someone at the other end of that email address and they responded, imagine that. Although terse she did not cuss and it felt as if I might have been spanked, but I relished the sensation. “Stop it I love it. Ohhh, it hurts so good!”
I must have read and reread that small note a dozen times wondering who could possibly believe the convoluted trail of inconsistent numbers and failed math demonstrated by the BLM, even if you worked for them. I must admit that I actually experienced a momentary flash of sympathy or pity for Ms. Deb as I pictured a poor, pathetic woman chained to her desk with no computer access or contact with the outside world being totally brainwashed by her management staff, how sad. The thought was quickly swept aside with a mental picture of program manager Don Glenn sitting behind his desk in a skirt, nylons and high heels hammering away at his keyboard while laughing, “I gotcha Fitch!”…brrrrrrr, I still shudder when I remember that moment.
So in an effort to clarify the reality as to whether or not there was a real Ms. Deb at the end of that email address our SFTHH Principle Investigator went to work and “BAZINGA”, look what she found:

Ms. Deb is a real flesh and blood person with contact information. She’s a marketing specialist, wonder if that is anything like an equine professional kinda thing, like someone who would know something about horses. Begs the question if she is a real BLMer or an implant from the BLM’s new, high dollar PR firm that is trying to pretty up all of the wild horse killing that’s going on. Their last attempt to use Bob Abbey as a puppet for all that is good and wonderful in the equine world was an absolute disaster. Barf (HERE)
Our PI managed to locate the contact information for a variety of infamous BLM horse zappers all the way to the manager of lies and deceit himself, Don “We will be Transparent” Glenn. You can see that info by tickling your enter key (HERE)
Might not be a bad idea to copy these poor, uninformed folks on your correspondence to your Congressmen, Senators and the President just so they might have a little bit of a chance to learn something, you know, being that they really don’t have a clue as to what is happening in the real world of mud, blood and horse poop.
Be sure to be nice when you write and/or call (don’t cuss). They already think that we are a bunch of nuts because we can do ciphering and stuff. I mean, we use confusing multi-syllable words, can add and subtract without using our fingers or toes, believe in simple things like truth, honor and integrity; you know, the stuff that really confuses the living heck out of the BLM. My momma woulda whipped my hairless little behind if I told fibs as much as Donny boy does.
So let’s cut these poor folks some slack, give them a chance to redeem themselves, maybe help them learn a little bit right before we expose them for being the lying, horse thieves that they really are. There’s a pretty stiff penalty to pay for what they are doing in Texas, feds or not.
Pity be damned; they know what they are doing and have been planning it for years. In 2008 they were going to kill off every single long term horse and to this day they use their 3-strikes rule to sell off the horses to killer buyers to run across the border to slaughter.
Call your representatives and sincerely let them know that you have had it with this broken, dysfunctional and out of control agency. It’s time to wrest the wild horses and burros (while we still have a few horses and burros) out of their hands and carefully place their entrusted care into the competent of guidance of a scientific and qualified third party entity, in the meantime, the murderous roundups need to stop and they need to stop now. Two Things You Can Do Right Now to Help Wild Horses and Burros
As the budgeting process in Congress is underway, it is important now more than ever for you to call on President Obama and Vice Presiden Biden (Phone: 202-456-1111 or 202-456-9000; Switchboard: 202-456-1414) to put a moratorium on the wild horse and burro roundups until there can be an investigation or hearing on BLM’s management of these animals and a better course of action set.
FY11 DOI Budget hearings are going on now in the Senate and House Appropriations Committee, Subcommittee on Interior & Environment.
Call on your Representative and also members of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies, (Find their contact info here; just click on their names) to de-fund the wild horse and burro roundups for FY 2011 and also continue the prohibition on slaughter or other commercial use of wild horses and burros or the killing of healthy horses.
Call on your U.S. senators and also members of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies (Click on their names for contact info) to do the same.
Don’t forget to copy Ms. Deb in your emails; it would be your personal effort to help the uninformed to become more learned, God bless ya!

Well RT the good thing is that Ms. Deb admits she reads your blog so there is a chance education will slip in somehow. If she’s PR she’s not doing much to help people feel warm and fuzzy about their campaign to brainwash the public. You don’t think there are subliminal messages implanted on the blm site do ya? I mean we fell for “this is a time for change” from O so they must be able to do it.

Clarify please, the judge is Hicks? Have you filed in the US Court of Appeals-Ninth Circuit? They just heard a case re:FOIAs and BLM up in MT. Don’t know if the decision is out yet or what the jist of the original case is but a Ms. Lovaas/Elkhorn “something” Inc is suing about FOIAs. And we all know the trouble we advocates have experienced with regard to FOIAs and DOI/USDA, etc. Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor is sitting on the bench for this one. She is sitting in on many 9th Circuit cases these days.

And look BLM is STILL stuffing just run for miles wild horses into trailers today. They haven’t changed at all!!

IMO, the BLM wouldn’t know a fact if it jumped up and bit them. Have they corrected the numbers on the Calico death log, yet? How’s their mis-representation of those numbers factual or truthful? Have they found the over 2000 lost horses that they can’t seem to account for on their own rolls? How, exactly, is that transparency in government? Their version of “facts” looks a whole lot more like LIES.
And, yes, there’s an awful lot of opinion written on this blog. Of course there is. It’s a BLOG, for Pete’s sake! But there’s also a lot of fact and uncovering of the truth.
Hopefully, the truth will set these horses free…

Anyone have any research on the salarey paid to a National Wild Horse and Burro Marketing Specialist? Don’t forget to factor in benefits, retirement, etc.

I couldn’t find the salary schedule, but this is part of what we are paying these people. They need to remember that WE pay their salaries.
As a member of the BLM Nevada team, you will enjoy all the advantages provided under the Federal Civil Service. Employees start at salaries equal in measure with those in private industry, and career benefits match those of most employers (i.e. health and life insurance, retirement, paid holidays, annual and sick leave).

It really sad that 21 horses out of hundreds died! You people amaze me I have stood on a hill and could see 26 dead horse including 3 dead colts because of lack of feed and water. How many horse die every year because of lack feed and water? I hate be the one to tell you that your fairy tale life for the wild horse does not exist, and more horse than that suffer and die if they are lucky, if not they live. Not because of cows because there was no cow in this area at this time, in fact there would have been over 100+ dead horses if a rancher had not decided to put his pump on the well and water the horse on his dime. The BLM the bad people want to round-up more horse but because of you people 26 horse including 3 colts did die and your as reasonable for these deaths as the BLM is for the one rounded-up , and because of the bad rancher 100+ lived. If you had your way 100+ would have died so don’t talk to me about how cruel it is! I have offered some of my weekends to show you around my state, and I will not show you the area where there are ranches but the desert areas where horse struggle to live, but none of you are willing to take me up on it because it does not meet your agenda!

Michael Anderson, I do not know who you are or that you ever made this offer. I take it you are in Nevada? I do feel some feeling of responsibility for the More than 21, try 34 official deaths and Counting! I feel it because we did Not Stop it. The ranchers were not to blame in any way. The Contractor and BLM do have the weight of the direct responsibility for the losses. Advocates did not have anything to do with the miscalculations and stupidity of the actions taken in the assault of the Owyhee wild horses!

Hey, Mike, or whoever you are – I wonder how the horses survived for hundreds of years before the BLM started taking care of them. Funny, there were a lot more horses when the BLM started “managing” them than there are now. How’d that happen?
Do you take us for complete fools? You must or you wouldn’t have written this silly message. Don’t you know that many of the advocates have been on the ranges, personally watching and photographing them for 20+ YEARS? They know more about those ranges and their horses than YOU ever will. They have practically LIVED with those horses.
And how are WE responsible for any deaths? The BLM runs the horses until they die in the heat and that’s who’s fault? If the horses don’t have access to water, WHERE WAS THE BLM to open the damn gates in their cattle fences so the horses could drink? That’s their JOB for God’s sake!
Besides, there are photos showing both water AND cattle where the BLM had stated there was neither.
Buddy, just because YOU don’t have a clue doesn’t mean no one else does either. Now I’m going to stop before I get REALLY pissed!

What locale did these deaths you claim to have witnessed occur? What date, what year? Where is there a recording of these deaths? Were they due to horses being denied forage and water by fences strung illegally cutting horses off from their needs? Was it like the gate that “accidentally” was closed trapping horses from food and water supplies? We have documents, photos and evidence, if you claim this occurred please submit documentation.

1. in 2007….936 (nine-hundred thirty six) Mustangs perished in the long term holding pens
2. in 2007…938 (nine-hundred thirty eight) Mustangs perished in short term holding pens…
3. in 2010…115 Mustangs perished inside the Calico Holding pens(6 mustangs perished at the gather site
4. in 2010; 43 mustangs perished at Tuscaorra…
5. in 2007; 130 Mustangs perished inside the pens at Palomino due to Samonella outbreak
Foals perish and are not even counted! how many foals are harm
