There have been many horrific aerial cullings of brumbies (wild horses) in Australia, where shooters in helicopters have shot and left many brumbies suffering before death. The New South Wales government plans to wipe out 90% of the Snowy Mountains brumby population over the next two decades.

  1. I am ashamed to say that the only thing I know about the Wild Brumby Horses is the movie “Man From Snowy River”. I have a lot to learn!

  2. Likewise looking forward to an exciting and informative show. By the way, I was in Australia, thanks in large part to Mae Lee Sun, and was hosted by brumby advocates all over Australia for six weeks from latter part of September to end of October 2014. I joined the Ecological Society of Australia and presented a poster on the benefits of wild horses to the ecosystem at this society’s annual conference in early October. Trekked and rode horseback in to Australian Alpes to observe the stunning brumbies both in Kosciuszko National Park and Snowy River National Park. Also visited the Outback and its brumbies. Australia is such a special and beautiful continent!

  4. Thanks GG
But is this “short, soft” version palatable enough for the public to see? After watching the long, hard version – THATS the one that people should be required to see – no turning away – no pretending it doesn’t happen – force them to watch with their eyes open! Until the public SEES & FEELS – change will continue to be hard.
