PANAMA CITY BEACH (FL) –  On Wednesday,   April 26, 2017,  the  Panama City “Big Lick” Horse Show Manager Mr. Todd Fisher assaulted a CCABLAC (Citizens Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty) Welfare Advocate Clant M. Seay at the Frank Brown Park by telling him “You Are A Dead Man”.

Mr. Seay is an animal welfare advocate with CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty), and Publisher of the www.BillyGoBoy.com website publication.    A month ago,  CCABLAC presented over 100,000 signature Petition to the White House in Washington, D.C., asking President Donald J. Trump to approve a Federal Regulation which would remove the “Pads and Chains” and abolish “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty.

  1. Perhaps you may wish to let the Mayor and the Chamber of Commerce for this town that you do NOT approve of the Big Lick horse abuse?

    Mayor email: mthomas@pcbgov.com
    CoC email: chamber@pcbeach.org

Sample letter (use your own words):
I am absolutely against animal cruelty and that is exactly what the “Big Lick” Tennessee walking horse show is. The horses are forced to wear eight pound shoes, wear chains, and they create a blistering affect on the skin of their feet in order to force them to step unnaturally high. Please do NOT support or allow this animal cruelty in your beautiful city. I will not be visiting your city because of the city’s support of this animal abuse … but it is not too late for you to make a public stand against this. Please and thank you.

  2. Ok. So now were entering into a time where what I have said can No longer be Ignored. The above threat has been a very common place. There’s also been Agrwssive behavior on activists and Advocates part as well. To reach a point where animals are helped we have to stop before the tipping point. The above comment matches up with the Agressive behavior from Dave Duqutte recently on a reporter at the Equus Film Festival. Killer Buyers make threats and it’s been known here lately Advocates, Activists and “animal crazies” have also been making threats. We have to remember work gets done when you are making a point, this man should bring charges at least and use the threat to work harder at getting Congress to understand if they threaten people then they do worse to horses. We All have to learn to push the Gas peddle and when to hold personal anger back. It’s a fine line. Some anger needs vented and other anger needs controlled. Either way it needs turned into a productive outcome.

  3. We do not need anymore laws! There are so many laws in the country now that most people and I mean those in positions of power as well as the rest of us, have no idea what the laws are anymore! What we need is education, education, education! Start with the kids, teens and young adults! Sponsor classes for them specifically that includes better rewards than the Big Lick classes! There are sponsors out there that would like to be able to sponsor these types of classes! I have talked to people and businesses in my small horse town that think the Big Lick classes are disgusting and will not sponsor them! Get rid of the sponsors of the Big Lick classes, equals getting rid of the class, the sponsors just need incentives to change and kids and teens are a great incentive. Look to the children and teen charities in any city or and county for sponsorship ideas. I would have a kids class and a teens class where they are activity taught the horrors of what a Big Lick horse goes through with the incentive of a horses grooming kit as a reward with the sponsor providing the kit. And the kids and teens taking those classes should be able to accumulate points toward a yearly reward horseman reward. The way to make change is not through laws that can and are being ignored but through the hearts and minds of the people through education!

  4. I wanted to add that adults verbal and physical attacks on each other almost ruined both ice hockey and soccer as sports for kids and teens and young adults in California in the 1990s.
I agree with the above poster that adults fighting puts the horses, and the horse shows as well as horse keeping and breeding and riding in danger. Let us not forget that there are those that would like to see the keeping, breeding and showing of horses made illegal, as these people believe a horse of any kind being ridden or driven or kept and bred is bad for it! Keep the government out of it. They can hardly run a country, they have no idea what is involved in the keeping and showing of horses. We see how well they are enforcing Horse and Burro rights on the BLM according to the law established for their protection in 1973! Stop the establishment of new laws, advocate for education! Or horse keeping breeding and showing will be a thing of the past!
