Merry Christmas from the Stable, Past and Present

An excerpt from R.T. Fitch‘s book ~ Straight from the Horse’s Heart: A Spiritual Ride through Love, Loss and Hope

“First published on SFTHH in 2009, ten years ago, this tale rings as true today as it did then.  For me it brings back memories of four legged friends I have lost yet still reside so solidly in my heart.  Two equine souls and one canine, from this story, have crossed the bridge and I feel a twinge of grief each and every time I think of them.  They, all of them, have made such a divine imprint upon my heart and continually remind me to stay the course, don’t ever give up and to share the love that they so selflessly showered upon me.

So on this magical day, we offer up another Christmas story and challenge you to an exercise.  If you have read this before, please, read it again, if you have not, give it a shot.  Stretch your imagination and open your heart, there is magic afoot this day.  What appears to your heart in words, may be closer to the truth than what your mind may perceive.  Feel your warmth, be aware of your special presence and share your love with family and friends.  Let the love roll.  Peace on, my friends, and keep the faith.” ~ R.T.

Wild Horses and Burros: Twas the Night before Christmas

“First published on Christmas Day in 2009, 10 years ago; the evil characters may have changed but the message still rings true to this very day.  The roundups must stop so that we can appropriately care for and manage, if needed, our national treasures on their rightful range.  At Wild Horse Freedom Federation we offer the gift of our continued fight in support of the Wild Horses and Burros to live free with their families on their promised public land.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good fight!” ~ R.T.
