The Toxic Substance Control Act, The Clean Water Act and and other laws are available to citizens to sue privately under citizens suits or class actions. If someone sold me a poisonous substance to feed my family I would.

There is so much corruption and illegal activites associated with the horse slaughter business. It is all about the money, nothing more, nothing less.

What about beef and other commercially raised meat sources in the US – what do you think IS the reality inside US meat processing plants? Do they check every carcass for banned substances ? I’m curious to know, but in the meantime . . . not taking any chances here.

Hopefully the 16×9 documentary will open up the Canadian government’s eyes to the corruption and barbaric cruelty associated with the horse slaughter industry, but, we are talking about the Canadian government. The legislators sit on their fat asses collecting fat salaries. Canada is slowly becoming a communist country. What a shame!

Anyone who eats an animal like a horse that has been given drugs that can kill or harm you deserves what they get. Sorry, but you won’t get any sympathy here from me. Horse are not food unless you are a sick ass.
My horses have had so many toxic drugs (bute, Wormers, Sedatives) do to injuries, lameness, surgeries, you name it. But, if people are eating this stuff and know this then they get what’s coming.
If parents feed their kids horse meet on purpose they should go to prison for trying to poison their children.

Just read about some Japanese who became sick because the meat came from horses with EPM. Well, that’s too bad.

Well they eat it raw, and EPM is a parasite, so….how stupid.

If there is an oil spill the government takes a sample and determines every organization that had ever, EVER, had something to do with that oil and EVERY party has some share in the liability. EVERY horse should have a chain of command so every former owner who sells it will have some responsibility for its wellbeing when it is turned over to a horse rescue, because slaughter is baned.

That will NEVER happen….this industry is so corrupt that the documents will be forged. I have bought/bailed many horses from kill buyers and anything that they have provided paperwork wise has been created…the info has been bad regarding the horses and they have nothing but lies to pass. There is NO integrity in the food industry any longer….they are as bad as the BLM

I sent the URL to my Senator Maria Cantwell from Washington state and asked her again to cosponsor S.541 and i asked her why I didn’t see her name in the list of cosponsors. This woman used to cosponsor all of the past bills like S.541 but the past few years she has ignored all of my emails and calls. She sends instead a email telling me all about what she has done for animals but she says nothing about the horses. So I am at a loss as to what can be done to stop this. If Canada can be forced out of the horse slaughter business because of the drugs I’m beginning to believe that may be the only to stop it. These crooked politicians in the US Senate are not going to willingly stop it because of the money slipped to them under the table by the racing industry and all of the other crooks that supports horse slaughter. The EU has banned horse meat from the US shipped to the EU countries because of the drugs yet allows Canada to ship horse meat from imported US horses with fake paperwork is beyond anyone’s understanding that’s had a number of years dealing with this. It looks again that there is a lot money changing hands in Canada and has been for a long time.

VOTE these non responsive politicians OUT of office….make them accountable for their decisions or lack of backbone to make any. Send them another E mail or letter telling them exactly what you are going to do and spread the word about their inability to respond to the taxpayers….I will certainly share it with my horse people….

I told him in email last week that I noticed his name was not among the bill supporters and will be voting accordingly.

“Both Henderson and Mann were particularly upset that three captured mares were sent for slaughter when people from their groups offered to buy them from the permit holders.”
“It seemed to be done out of spite,” says Mann.
2014 Alberta Wild Horse Cull

Shannon Mann, founder of backyardactivist.com, http://backyardactivist.com/
in coordination with the group Help Alberta Wildies, organized a two-week protest from February 16 to February 28 near one of the capture pens to observe the removal of the horses.
“Everything we did was fully within the law,” says Mann, who herself was not arrested and who denies that anyone in her group tampered with the pens.
“Nobody did anything to directly affect the capture. It’s all perception. They told us to move because camping within the vicinity would keep the horses away from the capture pen.”

So what is the Canadian government going to do about it? Absolutely nothing but make excuses and continue to slam, on the media, the advocates for the horses. As far as the people who eat horse meat. I agree with a previous post. They have been warned do let them get sick and die. pass the safe act in this country and be done with it..

Maybe Canadians who are pro-slaughter should be required to eat randomly-sourced horsemeat once a week until all slaughter is banned.

Horses are not grown for being a meat eating animal, we try and keep them helathy and feed them drugs when they get sick, so no horses with drugs in the system need to be used in the food chain any way. Good Idea Icey …
