Finally, a story about the cruelty and abject inhumane behavior of the BLM has aroused the interest of America’s mainstream media machine. We have been pounding the drum and blowing the trumpet for years and now that we have the press’ attention let’s not drop the ball.
We are going to do something a little different than we have done before, instead of writing text I am going to read the text for you so that you can sit back, close your eyes and on concentrate on the impact of the words that you hear.
WASHINGTON (April 8, 2011)—The Cloud Foundation received a written report and video documentation from Lisa Friday after her tour last month of BLM’s Butterfield Short Term Wild Horse and Burro Holding Facility, outside Salt Lake City. Friday was shocked to find wild horses living in unhealthy conditions that would that raise concerns and charges of abuse if they were observed in private facilities.
Jim Leachman of Billings presented a check Wednesday at the Bureau of Indian Affairs office in Crow Agency to buy back 60 to 70 of the 829 horses he is accused of starving.
The first reading of the horse tripping was held yesterday and went well. Our opponents are still trying to pull the HSUS rhetoric and did so at the meeting and were corrected. No doubt, they’ll continue to say HSUS is behind this and out to ban rodeos.
In a meeting Monday April 4th, Sugarcreek auction owner Leroy Baker agreed to make several major changes in his handling that will drastically improve the humane treatment for animals. Local law enforcement has agreed to fully uphold enforcement of humane regulations.
Several months after filing charges against the pro-horse slaughter Wyoming politician Sue Wallis reporter Simone Netherlands sat down with SFTHH founder and Editor R.T. Fitch to make public the course of events that unfolded during the failed pro-horse slaughter fest inappropriately called the “Summit of the Horse” in Las Vegas, last January.
There are words to be said here, partly of a deep anger at the staff and management of MSLAR for all the death and destruction they caused, for the lies told to those who sent their loved animals to live their final days in peace, only to have their days end in the cold and misery from starvation while the caretakers stayed warm inside their luxury home with an indoor swimming pool.

Horse tripping is an event where a horse, often a yearling, is released into a pen and the participant (on foot or on horseback) ropes the horse’s forelegs and brings him to the ground. Horse tripping can cause the horse fatal injuries and is incredibly inhumane because the horses are often submitted to electric prodding and are rendered too lame to walk prior to slaughter. Senate Bill 364 will ban horse tripping in Nevada, but we need your support to make this bill law in Nevada.
