FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHICAGO, (EWA) – Subsequent to the issuance of a press release challenging the results of the Unwanted Horse Coalition’s survey, a complaint was filed against EWA that brought down our website. The individual filing the complaint was not a recipient of the press release that was sent mostly to media outlets.

The truth is more than the pro-slaughter groups can stand
EWA has clearly struck a nerve with the latest press release challenging findings of a survey from the strangely named Unwanted Horse Coalition of the pro slaughter American Horse Council.
Although the website is currently down, EWA is still functioning and has temporarily moved its content to http://www.vickitobin.com/id36.html.
“EWA will not be silenced and will continue uninterrupted,” said Tobin and Holland, co-founders of the Chicago based group that advocates only for horses, unlike the Humane Society of the United States and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Tobin expects the website issues to be resolved soon or the site will be moved to another web host. This is the second such attack in the past few weeks, she said.
“Freedom of the press is alive and well unless the subject is in favor of ending horse slaughter,” Tobin said of the attacks.
In the July 10, 2009 release, EWA challenged the results calling out intentionally omitted data from pertinent time periods, availability of the survey to anti slaughter organizations and leading questions that slanted the results. “The survey,” said Holland, “was nothing more than a demonstration of the effectiveness of the pro slaughter disinformation campaigns launched after the closing of the first plants.”

I live in Canada, and unfortunately Horse Welfare Alliance of Canada, a pro slaughter group is DESPERATELY attempting to work something out that will comply with the NEW EU PASSPORT TRACIBILITY, that would in essence see the BARBARIC slaughter of Horses continue. The likes of those such as Sue Wallis and her side kick Bill De Barres are behind this of course, and to make things worse are ARROGANTLY seeking TAXPAYER money from our govt. to fund this endevaour that is in OUTRIGHT OPPOSITION TO A MAJORITY OF Canadians. Write to Agriculture /Agri Canada and demand this BARBARIC industry who profits only C. Bouvry Export
