Rabbit Wins Horse Race by a Hare

“It is once again ‘Feel Good Sunday’ and today we are going to be short and sweet, in fact, there won’t even be any reading involved so just sit back, relax and spend 3 minutes and 11 seconds watching a video with a rather comedic conclusion that is certain to bring a smile to your face.  Be sure to pay attention as the horses come down the home stretch.  Keep the faith.” ~ R.T.

  1. That was one fast bunny! And he knew enough not to get in the pack of horses!!!
A lot more amusing than most of the news recently.

  3. I just wished to stop by and tell everyone here how much I appreciate their work on stopping the return to moral barbarism involved in the attempted genocide of wild horses and the return of horse slaughter in the United States. Sorry this is a somber comment on what is reserved today for a lighter story. Without this website, I could not have been brought up to speed on these issues or learn quickly the updates on the situation as it critically unfolds. I offer especially as thanks a poem I wrote which is in the spirit of what you do :

the horse arose to teach us how to fly above the Earth
without thinking we are gods over it,
to learn to earn beauty through the grace of freedom.
We will prevail and learn what the wild horse already knows,
as it runs white maned over the dark plain,
    from pain into wisdom.

  4. This is a good one and a fast bunny. I also saw a another video of a cross country race going on when a coyote came out on the trail that they were running on and it ran with the leader of the race for about 50 yards before going off the trail again. Can they get a ribbon for leading these events?

  5. Is there anyone who comments here that would be interested in Equus magazines – either current ones OR some that I just found in a box that are from 1991!!
I don’t have anyone to give them to anymore & cant bear to throw them away!
    Any ideas????

  6. This is a second comment! Don’t know what happened to the first. I have a lot of Equus magazines – both current because I still subscribe AND some from 1990s. Just opened a box & found the older ones. Does anyone have an idea as to what I could do with them? Hate to throw them away & I’m not involved with any horsepeople anymore. Ideas???

  7. I am surprised not one comment objected to the horse race. Doesn’t anyone consider racing horses a brutal sport (and I throw up at the use of “sport’) Just what does everyone, including R.T., think may happen to any horse way behind in races? Is this site only concerned with horses rounded up by the BLM or sent to slaughter? Where do you think some horses come from that are sent to slaughter? I hope I’ve missed something in this presentation; if so, feel free to criticize me for my comments; otherwise, my comments stand.

    • I’m sure most of us, as we’re watching the horses run the track, would agree with you, but because it’s a feel good Sunday, R.T. enjoys (thankfully) trying to add some humor in our week. God only knows we need it! He always comes through and he did this Sunday, as well. (-: Your compassion for our equines is certainly appreciated, as we all have the desire to protect them. Thank you R.T for another “feel good” Sunday.

  8. “Feel Good” Sunday watching horses run and then, what? Criticizing the same race Monday through Saturday? Is R.T. so bereft of Feel Good Sunday presentations that R. T. has to resort to a brutal endeavor to amuse? I forget the name of the horse racing show subsequently cancelled (featuring Dustin Hoffman, for whom I now have the greatest contempt) because of the complaints this show was glorifying horse racing. Your answer, though appreciated for its reasonableness, is disturbing. Where is everyone’s desire to protect horses on Sunday? I’ll be waiting to read the fury of horse people – amused by R.T’s. trotting race- who will vent fury at horse roundups, horse slaughter, ad nauseam.
