Is the BLM Perpetrating Wild Horse Fraud?

The BLM uses the fly-over in its Herd Management Areas( HMAs ) to tell us the numbers of horses in an HMA and to tell us of a need to gather and the quantity of horses to be captured and removed. The fly-over is done by those who would do the gather and profit from it . No instruments are used to verify their numbers and location though instruments are available such as photos and GPS tracking and have been repeatedly suggested to be installed.

Wild Burro Shooting Texas Parks and Wildlife to hold Annual Public Hearing

Wild Horse Freedom Federation’s (WHFF) Director of Wild Burro Affairs, Marjorie Farabee has brought to our attention that this week the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will be holding an annual hearing. It is interesting to note that with all of the controversy swirling around the TPWD’s policy of shooting wild burros on sight there is no mention of them or their policy on the proposed agenda, Marjorie intends to change that with your help.

Arizona Rag Promotes Death to Wild Burros

We try our best not to promote stupid, hence we have not written about “Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis as of late, but every now and then a written piece of trash blows by that just screams out for attention and this morning one blew in with a gust of smelly air from Lake Havasu City, AZ. An editorial was printed, without even giving away the author’s name for good reason, that placed the blame for a burro’s death in an auto collision squarely upon the ‘invasive’ burro…it shouldn’t have been there so now there is a need to get rid of all those potential impediments to traffic, forth with.

International Equine Conference Announces Strategy Sessions

The three-day symposium held at the Marriott Residence Inn in Alexandria, VA from September 26-28, will address issues related to equine cruelty, slaughter, and America’s wild horses and burros.

Described as the first event of its kind, the International Equine Conference will bring together members of the equine welfare movement to discuss the political, scientific and legal implications of current international equine issues.

BLM Boss Bob Abbey Plays Congress

Bob Abbey, the Director of the BLM, claims his primary job is promoting the wild horse and burro program and securing funds for the program. But do his omissions and deceptions of the program deserve the Americans’ tax dollars? The wild horse and burro program was to protect our wild horses and burros on the range as our symbols of freedom. It was not to tear them away from their lands, families, bands and to commit them as prisoners to flat, barren corrals.

Ninth Circuit Grants Wild Horse TRO in Wake of BLM Ruling

HOUSTON, (Horseback) – Within hours of an adverse ruling for wild horse advocates attempting to halt a Navade “gather” and stampede in the heat of summer, a federal appellate court has granted a temporary restraining order. The federal Bureau of Land Management will be unable to proceed with it’s planned roundup, according to the Chicago based Equine Welfare Alliance, a consortium of more than 800 horse advocates and scores of equine welfare organizations.

EWA Announces International Equine Conference Speakers

We are excited to release the list of confirmed presenters, thus far. We’ll provide the names of additional speakers as they are confirmed and will release the agenda once all speakers have been confirmed.
