We will be livestreaming from Phoenix, AZ March 10 & 11, 2011 beginning with the Press Conference 11:30 am – 12:30 from the Sheraton’s South Room, followed by the Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board Meeting from 1pm – 5pm.
Lighting permitting we will be streaming from the candlelight vigil in honor of all the wild horses and burros who have dies or suffered at the hands of the BLM. And honoring all the horses stuck in this broken system.

Straight from the Horse's Heart 
Certainly I’m not the only one to ask…and realizing you only have so many hands…but please light a candle for me…hold it high and whisper my name.
Thank you for being there…for our Mustangs, for our Burros, for those of us that cannot be standing beside you. May this ‘gather’ of advocates in Phoenix be the beginning of the rising from the ashes of a system broken to a new compassion, to FREEDOM from oppression for our Wild Ones. Let your voices be heard.
Thank you again, from the very bottom of my heart.

If anyone reads this, please light a candle and tell people about Mouse, a Calico colt, who died at Broken Arrow last May after I visited. I had looked for him and asked everyone if they saw him. In a day or so Elyse found out he had died about the time the stallions were moved from Broken Arrow to Palomino Valley. They said a broken back. He may have been laying on the ground when I was there. Sweet Little Mouse, rest in peace, you are free. mar

Laura called after finding my messages about the live streaming… Laura will do it this evening for the candlelight vigil… and I do hope it will all come through. She did say the Press Conference was good, varied and went well. I am sure someone will write it up at FB… I had heard that Suzanne Roy was going to. mar

my one main concern coming out of meeting i saw today is the proposal that the blm is going to use a permanent drug to sterlize the mares – they will be rendered sterile for the rest of their lives – how young will female horses be that are given this drug – that means even if you adopt a female wild horse – you can never breed her – i think the blm is LOOKING AT TOTAL EXTINCTION of our wild horses in 20 years or less – no more babies mean no more horses – EVER!!
