Will she address the Mustang/BLM issue?

I doubt it. Wild horses and burros don’t seem to be a “priority” to the BLM. The BLM seems to prefer to sweep any mention of wild horses & burros under the rug as they drive them to extinction.

If she says anything about the Wild Horses that’s a BIG IF, it will be another big round around the issue really saying nothing as usual, cause she knows what BLM and thers are doing that sits fine with her & the President, what can she say certainly not the truth…. It will be another TRICK IF she says anything 😦

The ranchers have nothing to do with this. This is part of Al Gore’s climate scam done through international treatie.

I just watched a clip of her talking about wild horses, but am alarmed about her mathematic skills. She mentioned horses are “very good at reproducing” at a rate of 20% per year, and will double their population in 3 or 4 years. Many argue this percentage but let’s give her the benefit of the doubt and check her calculations.
SPRING OF YEAR 1: 100 HORSES
Say you start with 100 horses. If they successfully reproduced at 20% they would add 20 horses the first year.
SPRING OF YEAR 2: 120 HORSES
If we grant Sally the herd size of 120 the second year, 20% of those would add 24 new horses to the herd, for a total of 144 horses.
SPRING OF YEAR 3: 144 HORSES
Adding 20% again introduces 28 more, for a total of 172 horses in year three.
SPRING OF YEAR 4: 172 HORSES
Adding 20% again introduces 34 more, for a total of 206 horses, which must be how she arrived at her “doubling” figure for “year 4” but it’s really year 5.
SPRING OF YEAR 5: 206 HORSES
However, to espouse these numbers she is conveniently overlooking rather a lot of biology:
1.) foal mortality is significant during their first year, I’ve seen numbers of 15-20%.
2.) approximately half of each year’s foals will be male and not entering the breeding population for years, most will spend years in bachelor bands and only some will successfully challenge a herd stallion, but this doesn’t ADD reproduction, it simply replaces the herd sire.
3.) no foals will reproduce live new foals until their third year of life, at the earliest.
4.) she fails to factor in mortality of adult horses for any reason, or infertility in older mares.
5.) she fails to factor in that many mares are already contracepted so herd reproduction is already skewed and unpredictable.
6.) she fails to recognize that removals were documented by the NAS report to pressure higher, not lower, reproductive rates.
7.) she fails to recognize some herds like (Massacre Lakes) have self-stabilized without BLM interventions. This herd has only 200 horses (from what I have read) after 25 years of being left alone.
Bottom line: I think she failed both biology and math. Remind me why she is in charge someone?

She uses numbers that she wants to !!!!!! You know the ones that are to their benefit !!!!!! Because of this the only way to get correct numbers on anything they count is to have independent studies done !!!!! Why would anything so important be put in the hands of known liars???????

Text of Sally Jewell’s first Secretarial Order (published yesterday). Notice there is no mention of the BLM or wild horses even in the background responsibilities outlined.
