CHICAGO, (EWA) – As controversy swirls over the aggressive removal of horses from the range by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), a more fundamental question has arisen over what is happening to the horses it already has in holding. Over the past several years, equine advocates have been scrutinizing the BLM’s horse population counts. Once again, the numbers don’t add up to their claims.

BLM Infamous Helicopter Contractor Returns for Illegal Tuscarora Wild Horse Roundup

With lawsuits coming in from all directions BLM spokesperson, Debbie Collins, has verified that the notorious roundup company Cattoor Livestock is the contractor that will be herding hundreds of newborn foals across the northwest Nevada desert during the much contested Tuscarora Roundup (formerly the Owyee Roundup but name was changed, at last moment, to confuse the public).

Salt Lake City, UT (June 8, 2010)—On June 9, 2010 the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold a public meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah to discuss the use of helicopters and motorized vehicles during massive wild horse roundups scheduled to begin throughout the state in August. Advocates are encouraged to attend this meeting at the West Desert District office at 6:30 p.m., 2370 South 2300 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.
