President of Wild Horse Freedom Federation, R.T. Fitch, will be joining us on the eve of his trip to D.C. to deliver over 12,000 letters, as of this writing, to President Obama asking him to declare a moratorium on the accelerated Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) roundups of federally protected wild horses and burros on public land.
Last month R.T. challenged the American public to write letters to the President asking him to stop the roundups so that an accurate accounting of horses on the range could take place and alternative management techniques could be applied. In return, he and his wife Terry agreed that they would, personally, hand carry the letters to D.C. and ensure that they reached President Obama.
Virginia Congressman Jim Moran has offered to facilitate the delivery of the letters to the White House upon their receipt in D.C. and with his office’s backing the momentum for the campaign has blossomed to include the support and letters from Habitat for Horses, The Cloud Foundation and thousands of Americans.

I have been recieving calls from France and England this morning in support of this trip to DC and RT and Terry’s efforts. A large equine group in England is holding a prayer vigil for success. All who called said they would try to tune in this evening so that they could hear RT speak. Marti

I pray desperately that Obama will listen and actually take the time to read these letters, but I honestly don’t feel like he cares and because he doesn’t all he will do is give lip service pretending to make you go away…or so he thinks…. This is another trip to Wa. after HOW MANY previous, with how many actually speaking to members of this corrupt administration, and NOTHING HAS CHANGED, because of Ken SLAUGHTER-CZAR, the BLM is not brought to task for their actions, MANY DOCUMENTED ON VIDEO AND FILM, where had regular citizens been caught in these situations, they all would still be in jail for those actions. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE??? This administration is covering up all of the crimes the BLM does and I PRAY with all my heart that YOU and your wife will be the ones to bring the necessary changes to what is happening to OUR horses. I can’t believe how many around the world are adding their voices and I am so at a loss how those in Wa. D.C. can be so callous and cold to ignore all of us…. Hopefully the letters and your presence will sway enough of them to make the necessary changes to save the few wild ones that are still free. God Be with you both and guide your words to bring about these changes!!!!!

As BLM capture proposals (both EAs and “emergency”) are coming at the WH&B as fast a they are now … and knowing that the bait/water trapping contracts went into effect July 1st (many contractors in many states who only care about the money) … I think we all know “the jist” of what is happening. R.T. Fitch is a great voice for the horse and I thank him and Terry and also Marti (ppjg) for allowing the caring public to hear what is really happening. Tell it like it is.

That’s the key “telling it like it is”! These beautiful and majestic creatures are part of our American heritage and their future is threatened, as never before. We must speak out for their protection now, or suffer the consequences of their extinction. We’re all very thankful to R.T. and the many others who work so hard and have dedicated their lives to bring justice for these iconic animals.

If the Prez can “EXECUTIVE ORDER” making illegal immigrants legal for a limited period (yes, children brought, not criminals and between a certain age) as a strike against Congressional diddling with the “Dream Act”; he sure and the H*LL can sign one stopping the roundups. And no…I don’t want to argue about immigration. The wild equines have a FREAKING ACT to protect them and they are being MASSACRED!!!!!

Denise, LOVE your enthusiasm….and you’re right! If shit head had time for an executive order for illegal immigrants, he sure as hell has the time for an executive order to stop the roundups. He’s only concerned with the votes the illegals will give him. Had a chance to listen to the radio show–it was very informative, two thumbs up, a lot of things I have always wondered about were cleared up–you stated that you would not be able to see Obama on the show–it is 10:00 pm here in Denver and as I was just watching the late news Airforce One was was landing at Buckley Air force base. They said he would be in Golden speaking tommorrow–since I will be their for a dentist app. will make sure to put extra stop horse slaughter and stop BLM roundup signs on my truck–don’t know if he will see them but maybe others will. He may run but he cannot hide.
