I am guilty, I have slaughtered more than my fair share of peeps. RT you are an adorable Easter bunny! Happy Easter to everyone. Karin I will be honored to join you in your positive action of sending prayers for our Congress to have an epiphany that opens their hearts, it can be done.

I know you meant this as light hearted joke but with all the head liners of your articles Mr. Fitch that often contain the words ” slaughter ” I am afraid I did not find it funny at all !!!!!I know you are a compassion person and I am sure if you were aware of this information below you would not have written this particular post?
You may or nor know this but MILLIONS OF CHICKS are slaughtered every year by being thrown down a shoot and ground UP ALIVE They are the unwanted male chicks of the Poultry industry THs Sunday I shall say a prayer for all the tiny sentient chicks who only live a few days and then are thrown away and slaughtered so cruelly !

Really? Get over yourself and find the humor in R.T’s post. It is Easter and God’s day, for Pete’s sake.
Chickens are bred for food. They are not usually kept as pets. There is a HUGE difference between chickens and horses.
Get a reality check, bro. Get off the computer and go spend it with your family and come back Monday and be ready to fight the real issue at hand, which is the horses, not some chickens. We can deal with them later after we liberate the horses!

Happy Easter to one and all. I must admit I love the Peeps too. I am upset about the chicks who are destroyed. I wish I could have chickens. Who cares if they are boys, you just have them fixed. Mine of course would be talented pets. I will share my story about my friends’s chicken. They were on their way to their demise and a for some reason, this chicken fell off the truck. My friend Marlene told her husband Frank to stop immediately as Ms Chicken was on the expressway. Luckily, the travel was light and Marlene saved the life of the chicken. Marlene taught her tricks and amazed us all at some of our club meetings. She was not allowed outside unless she was with Frank or Marlene. Then one day one of her kids left the door open and Ms Chicken escaped. Everyone searched and searched, Marlene was heart broken. Then a call came from one of the Humane societies asking if she was Marlene. It appeared that Ms Chicken was the talk of the town. Someone found her wondering. She loved people and the gal that found her was able to catch her. It seemed she sometimes would do her tricks without being asked. She lived out her life with Marlene and Frank. So on this Easter Day God must have blessed this little chicken because the right people found her. It was like my Nicholas…he came to me when I was least expecting it. I went to the barn this afternoon and couldn’t stop grooming him. I looked at him out in the pasture and saw the beauty. I also prayed that God would interven and bring us a miracle. We all must believe
though for that to happen!
