That “can” was obviously empty – no grain. The horses must get bored and think about food in those pens with not a blade of grass or stimulation endlessly. That’s the reality of captivity in our world.

We all know play is essential for horses , boredom leads to many bad things like cribbing !!!!!! so if you can find something they like to play with , very Happy Horses…………….Happy Owners !!!!!!

I’ve never seen horses willingly put their heads into water like that. I was always taught horses fear something straight at them or over their heads (like water). Horses learn to tolerate baths and having water come over the head but that’s a slow process to teach.
I wonder if moose live in the area and they learned from him. Moose are the only animals I know who will submerged under water to feed off the grasses. And they can hold their breaths for up to a minute.

WOW !!!! the horses blowing bubbles in the pond,look like such fun made want to jump in there also , and get in on the fun !!!!! A little fun goes a long way !!!!!! Bless all the horses !!!!!! Watching them have fun, has a calming effect on all who watch !!!!!Took me from stressed to serenity in 30 secs !!!! Thank You RT for sharing this !!!!!! How cool is that!!! I have the smaller ball that can hang in the stall. My guy played with the stall ball for a while and then got tired of it. I cut it down and put it in his pen. I like the bigger ball. It seems that they can roll it better. I think your right about the sales skyrocketing. I am going to go to the website and probably order one. You can really see how they engage in play here. What a hoot! It wouldn’t be so bad to play at a human picnic either…sure looks like fun.the bubbling horses too…Thanks RT, you always bring us great things on Feel Good Sunday,,May God bless all my Horse Warriors on this Sunday too…
