Brilliant and timely, thanks RT.
I’ve been making a point of calling anyone I know who lives alone (many are older men, and Veterans) to check in and let them know they really aren’t alone. It’s also important to let younger folks know this isn’t an old-timer virus, in my state the bump in positive cases yesterday (24) was in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s age groups. We really are all in this together. Let’s let our better natures shine and perhaps cast away some of the darkness we all feel.

Today’s update shows teenagers, folks in their 70s and 80s as well. The assumption younger people are somehow safer is not holding up, so please everyone be proactive… and kind!

We Were Made For These Times
Clarissa Pinkola Estes
My friends, do not lose heart. We were made for these times. I have heard from so many recently who are deeply and properly bewildered. They are concerned about the state of affairs in our world now. Ours is a time of almost daily astonishment and often righteous rage over the latest degradations of what matters most to civilized, visionary people.
You are right in your assessments. The lustre and hubris some have aspired to while endorsing acts so heinous against children, elders, everyday people, the poor, the unguarded, the helpless, is breathtaking. Yet, I urge you, ask you, gentle you, to please not spend your spirit dry by bewailing these difficult times. Especially do not lose hope. Most particularly because, the fact is that we were made for these times. Yes. For years, we have been learning, practicing, been in training for and just waiting to meet on this exact plain of engagement.

Thanks for reminding us of this inspiring work from Clarissa. Hope everyone reads it again and again, even if it’s familiar, as I will.

Thank you RT for sharing that heartfelt video! So profound & inspiring to all of us! You always keep us grounded & focused on the important issues at hand. Helping our neighbors & the elderly, family, for anything they may need. Even offering to help someone to feed their animals, or pick up groceries & medications. We’ll get thru this, no doubt! Your sincere video gives us positive hope, when so many of us are trying not to feel frantic & stressed! 🙈❤🐴❤
