Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Signs Agreement with Habitat for Horses

September 19, 2012 (Hitchcock, TX) – The Texas Parks and WIldlife Department signed an agreement today that releases the few remaining horses currently used at the Big Bend Ranch State Park to Habitat for Horses. In an effort to reduce the number of horses and further reduce expenditures to conserve the park resources, an agreement was reached that allows Habitat for Horses to receive the horses and bring them to its ranch in Hitchcock, TX.

These are the horses of our Team USA and Canadian Olympic Team equestrian squads, competing with their human partners to bring honor to their respective countries in the sports of dressage, eventing and show jumping.

You are invited to the second annual International Equine Conference. Last years’ conference was a huge success and we’re hoping you’ll join us and make this years’ conference even better!

In addition to two packed days of expert presenters on September 22 & 23, we will also be hosting a reception on September 21. Details will published when the agenda is finalized but is anticipated to be early evening.
