Wild Horses: “D” is for Destroy, Devastate and Decimate – the BLM’s plan for Wyoming’s Wild Horses

This morning the Rock Springs, Wyoming BLM office published a Decision Record for the White Mountain and Little Colorado Herd Areas.

Here it is:

Normally these decision records come as no surprise – despite thousands of comments from the public against the roundup, (over 7000 in this case) usually the Alternative A is chosen, what the BLM wanted all along: bringing the herd numbers down to the lower end of AML, using birth control on the mares, and more recently, a crude twist – skewing the sex ration favoring stallions over mares.

Not this time.

Equine Advocate Proves Horse Hating Wyoming Politician to be Inept

Running in fear of the newly introduced “American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act of 2011” the cruel and misguided Wyoming state Rep. Sue Wallis has unleashed a weekend full of internet misinformation and out-and-out lies. As she sees the bloody yet limited profits of predatory horse slaughter ooze between her twisted, pudgy fingers she has flailed out with a continuous stream of twisted propaganda that has run head-on into an educated brickwall…that brickwall being one, John Holland, president of the Equine Welfare Alliance.

Disgraced Wyoming Horse Eater Admits Illegal Collusion

It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out the motives behind the defunct and degenerate Wyoming state Representative Sue Wallis’ motives to eat horses; it’s all about the money. But we can live with that as she is not that much different than other politicians BUT this piece of vile and uneducated crap continually crosses not only the ethical boundary of an enlightened human being but the legal boundaries required of an elected public official. Horse Eating Wyoming Politician Spews More Hatred

A great victory for the American horse occurred this week when the House Appropriations Committee voted on an amendment to reinstate formerly existing language in a bill that prohibited wasting tax payer’s hard earned dollars on funding inspections of horse slaughter plants (5 million dollars worth). That language was voted on and inserted in 2006 representing the opinion of over two thirds of the American public who stand firmly against the inhumane practice of horse slaughter in this country. The only reason that Rep. Moran of Virginia, an enlightened horse supporting state that makes money off from equine development, was forced to add the amendment was due to the back room, special interest finagling of Rep. Lummis and her off the wall cohort “Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis a lowly and third rate state representative from Wyoming. (IMHO)

The High Price of Horse Slaughter

Chicago (EWA) – The Equine Welfare Alliance and Animal Law Coalition applaud Rep. Jim Moran and House of Representatives Appropriations Committee members who stood up for the horses this week. Rep. Moran introduced an amendment to the proposed agriculture appropriations bill to make sure commercial horse slaughter in the U.S. remains illegal.

De-Funding of Horse Slaughter Inspections in Jeopardy

The Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug, Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Committee has released its proposed appropriations budget for FY 2012.

The proposed bill does not include a provision de-funding inspections for horses to be slaughtered for human consumption. The proposed bill does not prohibit use of funds to inspect horses to be slaughtered for human consumption. The subcommittee report does not mention it.

It is the de-funding of these ante-mortem inspections in appropriations measures that has prohibited commercial horse slaughter for human consumption in the U.S. since 2007. Now, if the subcommittee bill passes, it could mean the return of commercial horse slaughter to the U.S.

Happy Birthday Cloud, For What It’s Worth

On behalf of all self-actualized and compassionate human beings I would like to extend to you a most heartfelt congratulations, this day, on the advent of your sixteenth year of accompanying us on this voyage across time and space upon the spaceship we call Earth.

Sixteen years ago a wonderful cinematographer and her friend witnessed you entering this world. At that time you probably had no idea of the mantle of responsibility and notoriety that you would bear upon your withers and soul. As a young palomino, born wild amongst some of the most wondrous grandeur known on earth, you didn’t have a clue as to your destiny or the part you would play in the trivial game of human ego, greed and cruelty. And if I had my way, you still would not know.

Wyoming Wild Horses in BLM Crosshairs

You have got it right; the BLM wants to decimate the White Mountain and Little Colorado herds in Wyoming leaving only 274 horses on 1 million acres while allowing 6,000 cattle or 30,000 privately owned sheep to graze on your public lands, does that seem right, hell no!!

Horse Eating Wyoming Politician Gets It Wrong, Again

With vision clouded by ignorance, narrow-mindedness, prejudice and lack of morals Wyoming State Rep. “Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis and her main squeeze Dave “Doink” Duquette got themselves so wrapped up in another state’s business that they failed to even read or understand a proposed bill that was voluntarily withdrawn.
