It is short, sweet and speaks, I hope, to many of us at several different levels but I don’t want to give the main point away in a preamble but instead let you experience it for yourself as most of us would be guilty of responding in a like matter.

There is a lady in Paris KY who takes in retired tb broodmares. Jeanne Mirabito runs Our Mims. She is dedicated 1,000,000% to the well being of her 9 mares and gelding Elmhurst who is a grandson of Our Mims. Elmo also won the BC Sprint in 1997…
Last year there was a horrid abuse case. Jeanne took one of the worst Jo Jo’s Gypsy. The following day her granddaughter Kaylee laid her face against Jo Jo. In that one split second a bond like you’ve never seen was formed. Jo Jo survived being starved 450 pounds and some. It took months. I invite you to look up OMHR and read about Jo Jo and her human.
Jo Jo was recently x-rayed. And it is as they feared and suspected. Her legs are pretty well shot. She has been cleared for light riding! She’ll be allowed to carry her human!
