Bipartisan House amendment would restore wild horse protections

Reps. Dina Titus, D-Nevada, Peter King, R-New York, and Jared Polis, D-Colorado, on Thursday filed an amendment to the Interior Appropriations bill that would restore protections for wild horses and burros. • I think we just need to try to save them first. I personally don’t support any fertility control or sex ratio skewing because most of our wild herds are no longer even viable.
In my opinion, groups are doing a disservice to the wild horses and burros when, instead of pushing for higher AMLs to accommodate viable herds, they only push fertility control. Craig is doing a great job at proposing his Reserve Design, and we’ve had him on our radio show and he’s talked about it.

    • Yes, absolutely, Chris! Reserve Design would be the true fulfillment of the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act! I am a wildlife ecologist and know whereof I speak/write, not some shallow superficial person of limited grasp. I am ready and willing to step up to the plate and help direct this great restoration of the herds, but we must insist that the greedy monopolizers of the legal areas of the wild horses and burros on the public lands — that they pull in their devilish horns and actually learn to share the land and freedom with the wonderful horses and burros who do so much to enhance these ecosystems.

PROTECTION and PRESERVATION of he wild horses and Burros is the prodiminant choice of he American people. They are not livestock. They do not cull I have witnessed this personally and currently that the the horses are thriving and contributing a more promised land. PLEASE fight for the rights of these horses and Burros.
