50ish Disney Animation: How to Ride a Horse

by R.T. Fitch ~ president/co-founder of Wild Horse Freedom Federation

It’s “Feel Good Sunday” and we are feeling really good that our own Debbie Coffey’s work on catching BLM’s Wild Horse and Burro Manager, Joan Guilfoyle (click HERE) with her pants down has been picked up by the National Press and we were just going to let that ride for today…but that  just is not our style.

Disney’s recent film release, Frozen, had a contemporary animated short preceding the feature staring Mickey and Minnie Mouse called “Get a Horse” which was made to look old, had Walt Disney’s voice in it and broke out into color and 3D.  Evidently it made quite a splash.

Prompted by this interest in retro-technology our editorial team delved deep into the archive’s and located a full color, animated Disney cartoon staring Goofy titled “How to Ride a Horse”.

Today we present this 60 something look-back for your enjoyment while we continue to keep our eyes focused on the evil and corruption that is known as the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the largest cattle grazing and wild equine eradicating agency in the world.

Keep the faith, my friends, we will not let them get away with it!

  2. I so MISS these types of cartoons! They were always entertaining with real lessons underneath the laughter. I have discovered that only people closer to my age can appreciate the humor when I tell them the little boy burro I adopted 2 years ago from the BLM cracked me up the first time he actually came running to me across the property … and I realized he runs like Peppy LaPew!!!
