    My only concern is that the bomb be target site specific schrapnel targeting DOI, USDA or any other of the equine exterminators.

  12. I’ve asked this question once or twice in the past 10 months or so – especially of the veterans of the Mustang War – folks who have been involved virtually since birth. So here’s my question; I’m hoping the ‘veterans’ will shed some light:
    Has it always been like this? Specifically, has the BLM always been so dictatorial in it’s belief system? And has the Advocacy always been this cohesive, with members of the different organizations flexing their collective muscles, chasing the Bureau over the cliff?
    As a relative rookie at least as far active participation goes, this just ‘feels’ pivotal, aggravating & exciting & hopeful.
    bob abbey was recently quoted in the ‘media’ as saying a ‘few’ Advocates have been campaigning against the Bureau in the court of Public Opinion. And he seems genuinely shocked and dismayed that such an occurence could be taking place on his watch -that anyone would have the effrontery to question the methods of a Federal agency, that Citizens who are taxed to pay for everything Federal would actually clamor for an accounting
    So I got this to say about that:
    It’s our job, bob.

    • i have heard stories from pople back in the day that were with blm/FS and said it used to be better…In winters where the snow got deep..they hauled hay to the horses, then in 95 a bad winter a whole HMA of horses died from lack of food..so things changed, and seems as if it all depended on the district manager..my understanding is the people now -not all- but some could care less..which is why i can’t understand why they won’t let someone else take charge of them…maybe they have been syphoning off money from the WH budget.

  15. oK, i know Mr Brimley used to be horseshoer cowboy horsetrainer all around good ranch guy, and I can see he is being interviewed by MSM..so this has to be about his stand on the wild horses, its got to be good news for us…sooooo

    • Nora and Sandra….you guys are too funny. Read the caption – it’s Steven.
      I saw a photo of him taken last month, and he actually looks much younger and thinner than this photo makes him look, but I was told he’s watching his health now, so that’s probably why. So I think the photo above isn’t a good photo of what Steven really looks like. And Steven’s hair is still very dark, but you can’t see that in this picture either.

    • Hey, thanks for sending that picture! I have to admit that the picture I saw was taken of Steven in a restaurant, so his hair looked dark, but now I have something to tease him about and ask him what he’s done to his hair 🙂

I WAS BEAT TO THE GROUND FROM THE BLM FB PAGE AND THEY DELETED ALL COMMENTS I MADE BECAUSE I DEFENDED MY SELF FROM BEING DEGRADED,AND STANDING UP FOR WHAT WAS RIGHT! I SURE HOPE THIS IS GOOD NEWS!!!     • The anticipation is driving us crazy and goofy as well…I don’t bite my nails but just caught myself tearing one off – past the quick, and I’m not laughing 😦 That hurt.
      I’ve been thinking about it, and I think we’d better laugh while we can. If Steven’s got a bomb, that means he either found something or is about to expose something, and I have a feeling it’s not going to be something funny either. What is there funny about BLM that can be exposed?

        We are excited because things have been building at quite a fast pace against the BLM. More people and organizations joining the force.

        As you said, having fun now, but we have no idea what the “bomb,” the “breakthrough” could be. Could be another “secret document” really exposing the BLM…and hopefully {{{{{{SALAZAR}}}}}}}.

        If it is documented evidence of bad, real bad to the horses, we need to be prepared. There has been reporting of a massive amount of missing horses. Who knows.
        No matter what the “bomb” is, it appears to be a BIG ONE.
        Maybe the one we need to get THE moratorium.
        To get a Congressional investigation.
        CHARGE BLM WITH A FELONY!!!! Many!

        Bless Steve Long for staying on this and with bona fide contacts, a valuable network.
        It appears the pressure is rising against the BLM like never before. All coming together>>>fast.
        The word HAS spread across America!

        I sense the BLM is running-scared.
        It is obvious. No observers. Defying the law. Round-ups, Lord knows where, private land or not. Seems the recent roundups are not your “normal” roundups. Lies yes, but more elaborate that can easily be rebuked.
        The BLM is more closed-mouth…except for spewing bull. Lots of Bravo Bluff. Defensive stuff coming from the BLM…Abbey, Cattoors…

        And hey…just maybe Mr. & Mrs. Cattoor fear they are caught, again! Jail time. Just is, I sense fear when she speaks.

    • Kim, I was at the Facebook BLM page yesterday. Be sure to check out the Discussions Section. All points of view are well represented! lol

      Meanwhile, if you haven’t already noticed, the Facebook Community pages “mine” words from all the Facebook Wall Posts, and then post the wall posts on appropriately-named Community Pages.

      For example. Go to your Wall. type: Authors. Now, go to the Search at the top of the page, and type: Authors – unpublished. It will take you to a Community Page. Scroll past their Wiki articles or whatever to the section where they have Posts by Friends (and other posts from Facebook, don’t have to be Friends). See if your post, “Authors” is there! (Be sure to refresh the link when you get to the Community Page.) Anything you write will be picked up and posted on a Community Pages.
      For example,

      Yesterday, I mentioned to my husband’s niece (On Facebook) that our yard looks like it is inhabited by the wild men on Borneo.

      Curious, I “Searched” Borneo. Found a Community Page for Borneo. Yup, the photo, all the comments, including mine, had already been posted on the Borneo Community Page automatically by Facebook, including my husband’s niece’s name, her photos and my comment, ONLY BECAUSE THE WORD BORNEO was present on my “Comment” on her Photo,

      So multiply that by HOW MANY WORDS PEOPLE WRITE ON THEIR WALLS EVERYDAY, and you can bet all kinds of cross-posting is appearing on all these (hitherto undiscovered, but still there) Facebook Community Pages.

      I am looking for a way to set the privacy on the Wall posts so they are not picked up by the Community Pages, but have yet to figure out how.

      My husband says “that’s the way Facebook works.” I want to delete my Facebook page but am trying to remain calm.

      Do I sound calm?

    • Clarification-I jumped the gun- Judge agreed to hear what the defendents answers are to the motion and then plaintiff replies to those. It could be a move for him to save face but you never know, With all the damning evidence mounting against BLM, and as officials seeks to distance themselves, it could be a serendipitous event. Even if judge refuses to hear it again, we still have the evidence out there and as we used to say in Jersey, we’ll know if the judge is a ‘dirty’. Never know what will happen…….

  23. I heard !!! I can not wait to hear what is up now! I do not laugh often ,but all the sudden I find my self laughing from my nerves I do not know what else to do!!! Nails are gone !! I hope they uncovered more dirt to put against them greedy bastards! I am waiting !! tic toc!!! We can not stop spilling any dirt we find on the !!! I think they are getting nervous . To many people have caught on to their lies, deception,and greed! Keeping toes crossed since fingers hurt.They are stopped!!!

  24. I read the letter with tears in my eyes–it’s really happening! Some one ( 54 some ones) listened with heart and soul. They do exist! And they’ve got my vote! Excellent letter–covers most of the points and problems ( maybe they’ll address water rights/cattle range/fences/returning the horses, Ruby). Thank you RT— waiting for more NEWS!

  25. I hope its something like Obama finally fires Salazoo and Bob Abbey. It couldn’t happen to a pair of nicer guys–SNORT.

    Maybe the BLM’s finally fires the Cattoor’s???? Wouldn’t that be something!

    Or maybe Dean Bolstad (I only met him once) is switching sides. I have to tell you that while we both may have stood on opposite sides of the fence–I found him to be quite honest. I may not have liked his answers but he got a lot of brownie points from me for being upfront. That says a lot for the man.

    We don’t have to agree–but when a BLM employee tells the truth–even knowing that we won’t like the answer–I think in the long run it might give us room someplace to talk and compromise. It leaves the door open to talking. To me, when one lies and changes the truth–it shuts the door on that chance to talk and work things out.

    All of those are just thoughts–there is NO BASIS for anything I offered.
