Attendance and Truth Lacking at the “Scummit of Horse
Slaughter”
While
under investigation for fraud and ethics vilolations Wyoming State
Rep. Sue
Wallis and her dubious appendage Dave
Duquette kicked off their rip roaring
“BloodFest”
last night to an un-packed room of a several dozen people.
Empty chairs were the theme of the evening as Wallis and Duquette
stumbled through introductions of non-present people while waiting
for their much heralded master of
ceremonies Trent Loos, known for cattle
rustling and stalking, to appear out of LaLa Land. Early on Wallis
made the mistake of turning the microphone over to Duquette who
struggled to form properly structured sentences without using any
profanity. “It’s a whole lot easier to email, ain’t it?” The
entire sinking of their bloody ship can be seen by clicking (HERE) but
we sincerely do not want to disgrace or speak poorly of any
attendees who do not really know who Wallis and Duquette are and
what their current agenda is. For those, we are sorry and
perhaps the lack of professionalism and total avoidance of truth
and logic will come forth in this meeting of the mentally
challenged. Remember, it is not “Wax on, Wax off”, in Walrus World
it is “Lies in, Truth out!”

I seen the list of speakers and one is Joey from the USDA brach office in DC. Joey and I have had the pleasure of meeting for two weeks straight outside of CAVEL Int. in DeKalb, IL.
Joey was finally brought in after hundreds of complaints from our Anti-Slaughter Team back in 2007. I must say, I am prepared to write a story on the actions of the USDA and Joey with covering up what really happened during his time in DeKalb, IL.
I ASHAMED that the USDA is even involved with this NIGHTMARE SUMMIT !!!
Why is the USDA even there ???
WHY ???

I actually watched this early this morning, yuch. But I must admit the 1st Cowboy Poet had some wonderful poems. Just wonder if he really eats horsemeat. Re: Trent Loos, what did he mean the BLM rounds em up & sends them to him? I need to do some research on this man.

Here’s Trent interviewing Robin Lohnes on his little podcast. Well sort of. Mostly he just steers the conversation back again and again to horse slaughter and tries to get her to agree with him that it solves all of life’s problems. His dream is to be able to send wild horses in BLM captivity to slaughter unfettered by us activists types or any federal laws and such.

The site wouldn’t come up for me, but it sounds like it was a flop. Hope so.

Hahaha! Truth vs. “thruthiness” in the city that never sleeps (except when it’s committed to attending a sleeper like this event, lol). Good work keeping us apprised of the lackluster proceedings.

The video just said it was made private by the owner. Guess she doesn’t want to be embarrassed by lack of attendance. Hey Sue at the Oscars they hire chair fillers!

The video has been pulled.
I believe I read somewhere that Trent Loose owns Progressive Insurance Company.
Can someone clarify? If it is true then a boycott needs to be called.
Progressive is big here in New England

I did a little online research and found that Loos contributed an article on the “health benefits” of nitrates in cured meats to the website of an organization called “The Progressive Group of Companies, Inc.,” an organization based in Canada, that describes itself as “offering business management services and livestock production expertise” in “swine production management.”
Neither Loos or “The Progressive Group” livestock management consultants appear to have any connection (other than the name “Progressive”) to the group of insurance companies, based in Ohio, that operate under the name “Progressive Corporation.”

OMG..the “health BENEFITS of nitrates..has this moron been farming and ranching on mars..Robert kennedy Jr. did a very effective job of outing this wack job..This is a convention of nuts with only the squirrels attending..did anyone see the oregon delegation/ you know the broads from ‘Oregon Wild Side” who post pictures of the mustangs and then sold the calendars of the horses to pay their way to the slaughter sumit..please unsubscribe to their facebook page and donot buy their calendars-they are using the mustangs..you cannot support slaughter and call yourself a friend of the wild horses..kick them out!

2011 is the Year of the Truth exposed about the real greedy reason for Wild Mustang round ups by the BLM, Sue Wallis and company !!!! Lack of attendance is refreshing to say the least !!!!

Same as other saying that the video was made private. May their lack of attendance be a good fortelling of the lack of truth to their fiasco.

It still would be good to have access to the video. Is it available from someone who saw and recorded it on facebook or so?

They have blocked the video , so did not get to see it, they are liars and murders, and scumbags, if the video can be seen another way , please send it to me.

The only thing they have blocked is a ‘tape’ of the show – sneeky.

Who won the truck?

Hi, Louie. A man in NV won. Duquette did talk about how long it took but what is really strange (maybe not for them) is I have never heard of having a raffle where the organization buys what is being raffled. I have worked on and attended dozens of charity events and everything from the raffles to silent auctions are items that have been donated so that all proceeds benefit the organizaiton. The list of donors, unless they wish to remain anonymous, are always thanked or mentioned in the printed programs.

Forgot to mention that Duquette said he was a friend of his so maybe that was their way of giving a truck away that didn’t exist.

That would be my best guess, they canceled the raffle giveaway once because they did not get enough raffle tickets sold to pay for it..Denio is a tiny stop in the road on the oregon Nev border shouldn’t be difficult to find this person and check out the legitimacy of this event..would be nice to tag dave with some of this fraud as well..I am a little confused as in some bulletins dave calaims to be the founder of this NON profit organization..based in WYO and yet he lives in the pendleton-hermiston area of Oregon..again i noticed they state the Umatilla tribe supports them..and they are based in the same area..again i fully expect them to be exploiting the Umatillas by trying to site a slaughter facility on their reservation land,,Maybe that is why dear Abbey is so involved in this issue..trying to circumvent the fact that congress refused to allow the wild horses to be slaughtered..by using the tribes which are under the jurisdiction of the DOI

R.T., ever see “Alien”? You know, the movie starring the big, nasty creature with a misshapen head, and the little, equally nasty, sharp-toothed thing that sprang out every time “Big Nasty” opened her blood-drenched maw? Is that what you mean by “appendage”? Just askin’ …

I went to UStream and had no problem watching “it” alive. Obviously not a full house or people with a “full deck”. Most conversation is trying to figure out how to take down the Humane Society. Sounded like a beef guy wants a “horse checkoff” like the beef checkoff(producer money). And there is no longer slaughter–it’s processing. The age of the audience looked to be on the “older side” and there are still people out there that want to feed the poor starving people horsemeat. I heard John Hollands name mentioned and a Vicki–didn’t catch the last name. Congratulations you two!

I’ve heard many with computer savy and animal welfare concerns post that once on the internet, always on the internet (cached or something). I don’t know how to do it, find it and couldn’t play it if I wanted to…but it is probably out there, somewhere.

I heard Sue Wallis at a Society for Range Management meeting in November 2009, and I would have categorized her position as “extreme” and “radical” then (she’s gotten even more extreme and radical since). But the SRM is a private organization and entitled to make mistakes about who they have at their shindigs, whereas the BLM is a taxpayer-supported government organization and meant to stay at least within shouting distance of the mainstream. What in heck are they doing getting cozy with the likes of this group? And where is President Obama’s famous caution in letting one of his Departments go off the rails to this extent?
Don’t tell me that Abbey, et al. are required to “hear all sides” and “consider the views of all stake holders.” This is not that kind of thing at all. The BLM does not need reorganization, it needs an intervention, with mental health professionals in charge. Seriously. Needs help.

Vicki, this was posted in the comments on the Cloud Blog. They need to hear from you:
“The Seattle Times” article needs to be analyzed and picked apart for accuracy, which I am not able to do.
It is dangerous because it makes horse slaughter seem like a necessary and reasonable solution
Northwest tribes seek solutions to unwanted horses
Horse people hope the new year will bring a solution to an old problem: too many horses.

Mike Mclean of Denio, NV won the 2011 Dodge Truck.
Dave said: “I personally got the idea for this fundraiser” – that it was “not a great fundraiser” – that their lawyer and accountant drew the winning ticket in Wyoming – and that the winner was a friend of Dave’s.

I got a letter from “Dear Abby” today (US mail!) regarding my letter asking him not to attend the horse slaughter summit. Did anyone else write him about this or get a letter from him? I could type it all if needed but basically it said, “I have accepted the invitation because, as Director of the BLM, I am committed to meeting with diverse stakeholders who have an interest in public land management issues. I have taken the position that slaughter of healthy wild horses is not a viable or acceptable management option.” [can’t wait to hear what he actually said at Sue’s summit – is this what he told her?] … ” Also, I will make my remarks less than two weeks after a report from the Department of Interior’s Office of Inspector General found that the BLM and ITS CONTRACTORS DID NOT TREAT ANY HORSES AND BURROS INHUMAINLY.” Give me a break!!! What was happening to that burro on the CNN video – not to mention the hours of other documented mistreatment of MY animals? … He then urges me to visit the Wild Horse and Burro’s Web page for ACCURATE, timely information on the BLM’s management of wild horses and burros. NO KIDDING!!! I got this letter from him today and he wants ME to get accurate information from their website … give me a break!!!!!!! (I can’t say the words I am thinking)

Dear Grandma Greg, With all due respect I wouldnt believe one word that came out of Bob Abbeys mouth, he has already set the stage , for his and the BLMs actions and have been video proof all over the place !!!!!! If he in fact had one once of concern for the Lives of Our Mustangs , the round ups would have never started, and would not continue!!!! There were viable solutions all along if in fact it wasnt lies from the Start !!!! If I am not mistaken He was the one who called them RATS WITH HOOVES????? Therefore , I will never expect anything he would say would be the truth !!!!!!
