No Fences on Perry’s Texas Border, but They Shoot Immigrant Burros

On October 18, 2011, during a Republican presidential debate, Texas Governor Rick Perry accused former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney of lying when Romney denied hiring illegal immigrants to work on his property. Apparently, Romney did hire a lawn company in 2006 that employed illegal immigrants, but he fired the company when he learned of the immigration status of its employees.

The illegal immigration issue is like a soldier’s sword for Perry, used repeatedly to slash at Mitt Romney, who is in favor of a border fence between the U.S. and Mexico.

Odd that Perry would argue against a fence when he fully advocates the shooting of “immigrant Mexican” wild burros that the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department claims are sneaking across the border into Big Bend Ranch State Park.

Horse Whispers

It’s Sunday, and I could not leave you fellow advocates and friends of the horses with the ugly images of the likes of Jason Meduna, Sue Wallis, Dave Duquette and the BLM dancing in your minds; that in it’s own right is a cruel and unnecessary act. So for today, I give you a story that appears in our Book in an effort to wash your minds and souls free of the dirt, blood and corruption while replenishing and refreshing your spirit. You may take it at it’s face value, but for those of you who have plunged into the depths of the equine spirit, you know of what I write. Keep the faith and may the Force of the Horse® be with you, my friends. ~ R.T.

US Horse Slaughter Trade Cruel, Deceptive

“Horse slaughter supporters are apologists for cruelty and deceptively lay claim to being defenders of animals rights”

Alleged Horse Trainer BBQs Horses for Clients

Sadly, if you have been unfortunate enough to be around the issue of predatory horse slaughter, for any length of time, you have had no choice but to run into the name of bloody, pro-slaughter extremest Dave Duquette the witless sidekick of equine terrorist Wyoming State Rep. “Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis. With Wallis leading the way down a path of blind lies, self-serving statements and threats against the horses of the United States Dave “Doink” Duquette has been right behind her picking up on scraps and never coming forth with an original thought, the veritable “lap dog” of all that is sick and perverse with American society today. Allegedly a horse trainer, Doink would brag and extol upon the pleasures of brutally killing and eating the very companion animals that he is said to earn his income through breeding and training. If you ever wanted a nasty email, sprinkled with expletives and uneducated rants, simply write to ole Doink and your wish would be granted but then…he disappeared.

Rhapsody Lost in Cesspool of Bloody Horse Slaughter

Memories and photographs are all that remain of Rhapsody Rhose.

Jaime Cowan, who rode the purebred Arabian since childhood, clings to these as if grieving the death of a family member.

“I can still smell her,” she said. “I can still feel her breath in my hair.”

Rhapsody’s demise is layered with betrayal by a friend and indifference by others. It also is an economic treatise shaped by America’s prevalent view of equines as companion animals, the overseas desire for horse meat and the buyers, packers and shippers seizing opportunity.
